Charleston: Are You Ready to Run?

Considering a run for office? Or working in a campaign? This one-day session is designed to put all the elements in order so you can make the decision wisely. Once your decision is made, we'll give you a good overview of what you’ll need to know to be organized and effective. Our session trainer, Ruth Sherlock, is an experienced campaign manager and fundraiser and when she isn’t working to help women of South Carolina run and win, she is president of her own consulting firm, Sherlock and Associates. Special Guest: Dr. Kendra Stewart, Director of the Riley Center for Livable Communities and political scientist with experience teaching and research in gender politics

- Overview of a successful campaign -- message, money and more
- How to start -- get your ducks in a row
- Making the move -- select your office
- Discussion panel featuring women who have run for office in the area

Registration begins at 8:30 AM and your day wraps up by 3 PM. Lunch will be provided.

$45 ~ includes lunch and training materials
$35 ~ Student rate. Please bring your student ID card.
