2011 Leading Women Dinner - On April 1, 2011, the Institute honored the first female Governor of South Carolina, Nikki R. Haley, and the first female African-American elected to the SC House of Representatives from the tri-county Charleston area, Lucille Simmons Whipper.  The keynote speaker was Valerie Biden Owens, sister/campaign manager of Vice President Joe Biden and political media consultant. Spring 2011 Master Your Message Training - Held on April 2, 2011, the Master Your Message Workshop was an effective hands-on approach to learning how to speak on camera and deliver an effective campaign message to the media. Read more.

2010 Pathways to Power Reception - The second bi-annual reception celebrating elected women and women running for office in 2010. The Pathways to Power Reception honors women who have stepped forward to lead in South Carolina along with everyone who supports the prospect of increasing women's seats at the decision-making table. The institute was joined by Dr. Kerry Healey, former Lt. Governor of Massachusetts and Political Parity Advocate. See photos from this event.

Spring 2010 Grassroots Politics Campaign Training - To follow the momentum from the Leading Women Dinner, on April 17, 2010, the Institute ran another successful training school to train women in modern Grassroots politics tactics. Read more.

2010 Leading Women Dinner - April 16, 2010, the Institute honored Sherry Shealy Martschink and Inez Tenenbaum in our second annual dinner and awards ceremony.  The keynote speaker was Arlene Violet.  Read more.
