Michelle Macrina - President, The Macrina Group
For the past 25 years, Michelle Macrina has worked in over 75 campaigns in 15 states - from U.S. President to City Council, from lobbying for Environmental and Health issues to organizing Civic and Community activities. She has worked in all aspects of a campaign - managing, media, communications, direct mail, voter contact, research, fundraising and grassroots organizing. She is currently President of her own political consulting firm, The Macrina Group, Inc.
Michelle is originally from Little Rock, AR. After attending college and graduate school in Nashville, TN, she met her husband, Ralph, a chef, in Washington, DC. She and her husband moved to Greenville in May 1998 for her job on U.S. Senator Fritz Hollings’ last re-election campaign. Despite frequent short-term campaign stints in other states, Greenville is now home for the Macrina family. Michelle and Ralph have two children - Vincent and Gabby, who both attend Stone Academy. Michelle is active in PTA, Greenville Democratic Women, Susan Komen for the Cure Foundation, League of Conservation Voters, and her Church.
