Mary Anne Jacobs

Mary Anne JacobsMary Anne Jacobs holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University.  She joined Time Warner Cable in 1991. She held the position of Vice President and General Manager of the Pee Dee/Grand Strand operations before relocating to Columbia, SC. She currently holds the position of Senior Director Government Relations where she assumed responsibilities for monitoring the legislative and regulatory environment and communicating the company’s position on legislation and public policy.  She is the Lobbyist Principal for the South Carolina Cable Television Association (SCCTA).

Jacobs holds a position of leadership in the SCCTA and is a member of the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Cable Television Foundation.  She is a member of The National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC.) Jacobs serves as Treasurer of the Board of Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) of the Carolinas.  Jacobs received numerous industry awards including the industry’s most prestigious Beacon Award for Excellence, the National Vision Award and the Women’s Press Association Award. 

Active in a variety of civic and cultural organizations, Jacobs is recognized in the non-profit community as a visionary.  She applies a combination of practical and operational experience to her role on various non-profit boards. These efforts have been recognized by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, United Way of the Midlands and the Children’s Trust of South Carolina.
